This family is so beautiful, strong and positive and I feel lucky to know them. Kim was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer a week before her son's seventh birthday. It doesn't run in her family and she doesn't have the gene, so it shook her world when she received this diagnosis. She decided to be open about her diagnosis from the beginning because she wanted to encourage others to be an advocate for their health. Breast cancer can happen to anyone, so she wants to encourage people to get checked out. She fought this battle hard because her kids were "too young to lose their mommy." She has been through 2 surgeries, 6 rounds of chemo and 33 rounds of radiation and she finished active treatment on September 27, 2019. We had so much fun doing this shoot and I'm happy to share this amazing story with you. GET CHECKED!

Bryce is the younger brother of my friend Allie, and Pickle is Allie's dog! Bryce lives in New York, but every time he comes to town I have the best time. He is so fun and nice and we always find something fun to do while he's here. Bryce wanted some new content for his website and social media and obviously pickle had to join in for some! The beauty in these photos is just unreal!! My beautiful friend Danielle gave birth to her baby girl almost nine months ago! She looks and feel amazing and is working on some new adventures. She wanted to do a photoshoot to show what a strong, fierce mama she is! I love how these turned out. My beautiful friend Lyla gave birth to her beautiful baby girl last week and I was so glad to do her newborn shoot a couple days ago. Her beautiful name comes from bother of her great grandmothers and it fits her so well. She is the tiniest, sweetest thing I have ever seen. I'm so excited to take pictures of her as she grows! The Newlands are some of my favorite customers! They found me online a little over a year ago and I shot their pregnancy announcement photos, their maternity photos, and now their baby girl's six-month photos! Peighton is the cutest, sweetest little girl and I just can't believe how fast time has gone by. Scroll threw my blog to find the earlier shoots I did of this family! While I was in D.C. taking Mal's graduation photos, her friend reached out to book a session for her grad photos as well! We lucked out with the best lighting and weather for Madi's photos and I love how they turned out. How GORGEOUS is this campus?! It looks like Hogwarts and there are tulips everywhere. I had so much fun running around Georgetown. Mallory is basically the sister I never had. Our dad's grew up together, then Mal grew up with my brother's and I. We lived directly across the street from each other for years, then I went to college and moved to Austin, then she went to college at Georgetown, so we haven't seen much of each other in the past few years. Since she started college, we have been looking forward to the day that I would fly out to take her graduation photos and it finally happened! We had so much fun and I'm so thankful to her mom for doing that for us. Here are some of my favorites! Recently I was driving through a neighborhood and saw these beautiful waterfalls on the side of the road and suddenly had a vision of a beautiful pregnant woman standing in the water. Luckily I have a beautiful pregnant friend named Lyla who has no fear, so I asked her if she would do this styled shoot for me and she agreed! Mother nature is amazing and I'm so happy with how these turned out and thankful to Lyla for letting me use her beauty and belly! I love this family SO much! They moved to Austin almost a year ago and they have been a light in my life since I met them. These boys are so sweet and loving and Brooke is a great friend to me! We had set up three different dates for this photoshoot but things kept coming up, so we were so happy to finally work it out and I love how they turned out!! My friend Ashley got the most beautiful golden-doodle puppy, Callie! We went to go take pictures in the bluebonnets and we met a sweet Frenchie named Bruce who was a great model. Enjoy these adorable puppies!! Last time I took this family's photos, Dean had just turned one. Yesterday he turned two, so we were do for another shoot! We did this very quickly this morning in the rain, but I love how these turned out! Even though it was raining, the lighting was perfect and the bluebonnets were beautiful! My beautiful friend Lyla is pregnant with a baby girl!!! Kye is perfect for Lyla and I am so excited for these two. I custom made this sign for their photoshoot and they also brought pink rose petals which was fun to play around with! I'm so excited for this beautiful baby to be born. Jordan reached out to me online because he was planning on proposing to his girlfriend and he wanted me to capture the moment! I love shooting proposals, but they are also the most nerve wracking for many reasons! I have to try and stay hidden while also getting good shots of the short amount of time he is on his knee, I don't have much control over the location and the lighting, someone could walk in front of the camera right as he gets on his knee. It's just so unpredictable! Sierra had the greatest reaction and was freaking out about her ring for about 5 minutes. She kept telling him it was the most beautiful thing she's ever seen and that it was exactly what she wanted. It was so cute! This is my second year taking holiday photos of these cute boys! Mom and dad decided to jump in this year. Their house is gorgeous and we lucked out with great lighting this day! I love how these turned out. And how CUTE is that dog?! I met Kate about four years ago when we worked at the same summer camp! She then began student teaching at the school I had taught third grade at. She just finished her masters program and wanted to set up a shoot to take some grad photos. We had this shoot planned months in advance (because she lives in Arizona and I live in Texas.) Then her mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, so she wanted to join in on the shoot while she was still feeling well. Kate's boyfriend, Jarrett joined as well and brought all the laughs. We had a great time on Mt. Lemmon! Nicole is my mom's best friend's daughter! She is the same age as me, so we have known each other our whole lives. Nicole's family is from Chicago, but now Nicole and Brandon live in Phoenix. I went to Arizona in September and we planned for them to come down to Tucson so we could do an engagement shoot. Of course, it decided to pour rain that day. We got a couple shots under some trees, but nothing close to what we wanted. Thankfully, Nicole's whole family came to Arizona for Thanksgiving, so we did our reshoot then and we got to get some family pics in! It was nice spending the evening with all of them and I'm so excited for the wedding in Chicago next year! Davey is one of my students this year and she and I have a special connection. She always seems to know exactly when I need a hug or a random "I love you, Ms. Jami!" She is so helpful around the class and she gets upset if I'm not there. She just warms my heart! And her adorable family is so sweet. Get ready for a cuteness overload!!! SO MANY PICS. Alessandra is one of my students this year and we had a lot of fun at this shoot this weekend! She and her sister love each other so much and you can see it in these photos. We were lucky with an overcast day and a beautiful view of Austin! I have so many favorites. Enjoy!! Look at this cute, playful family! We had so much fun at both these shoots. We did one shoot at the FOMO Factory on a Saturday afternoon which was pretty overwhelming and busy, so we decided to also do an outdoor shoot at one of my favorite parks in Austin. Here are my favorites! Yesterday I was bored so I told my roommate to get dressed and we went to the trail behind our apartment to do a little photoshoot! She was photobombed by some deer at one point. Enjoy!! I met this girl through my dance classes and she has brought so much joy into my life! We can just give each other a look from across the room and know exactly what we're thinking. She is turning 28 next week and wanted to do a fun photoshoot! Her motto for the year is "Keep Ya Head Up" because that's exactly what she's planning on doing no matter what struggles come her way. I love her so much! I cannot believe I took this boy's newborn photos almost a year ago! I was so excited when Kelsey asked me to come take Grayson's cake smash photos for his upcoming first birthday. How ADORABLE is this kid?! I mean, just look at those eyes! Also, notice the "help" that grandpa gave when Grayson didn't want to smash the cake...don't worry, they made up! I am obsessed with this place!! Giant and unusual objects, amazing and colorful rooms, free ice cream and Snapple. It is just amazing. I had to take my beautiful roommate with me to check it out! I now have four more shoots booked here and I'm so excited!!! MY BEST FRIEND IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PREGNANT WOMAN ON THE PLANET EARTH!! I went back to Tucson last weekend for a wedding, and Ally planned her baby shower for the same weekend so I could be there! We woke up before the sun on Saturday morning so we could drive up the mountain and catch the sunrise for their maternity photos. I'm SO happy with how these turned out!! |
